Pas De Deux at Morven Park 08/04/2010

 Catherine Haddad, the US rider permanently based in Vechta, Germany, is a welcome visitor at Hawk Hollow Ranch. She arrived on the 24th with her top dressage horse, Winyamaro. Horse and rider are qualified for the US Dressage Team Selections at Gladstone to be held over two weekends: August 6-8 and 13-15. Catherine had two horses qualified for the Selections but opted to leave her older, more experienced horse, Cadillac, at home. She is traveling with her young, up and coming star, the 10 year old gelding Winyamaro. I’ve had the pleasure of watching this pair work in the early mornings and I am truly impressed with the joy and enthusiasm they express in their work together. Have a look at Winyamaro last June at he Fritzens CDI4* in Austria. To my eye, he looks even more secure, powerful and expressive in his work now!
