Located in the scenic horse country of Bedminster, NJ, in northern Somerset County, Hawk Hollow Ranch spans 100+ beautiful acres of open fields and woodland, and is surrounded by open space. The farm is located near the United States Equestrian Team headquarters and Trump National Golf Course. Despite its secluded location, the farm's proximity to New York City -- only 45 minutes away and just 1/4 mile off I-78 -- makes it accessible and convenient for busy riders and owners.
Hawk Hollow Ranch offers the finest in horse boarding, riding and care and is owned and managed by professionals with over 20 years of experience. Hawk Hollow Ranch often host clinics, for which we welcome our boarders to ride or audit. In recent years Hawk Hollow Ranch has held clinics with Catherine Haddad-Staller, Jan Ebeling, Christine Traurig and Debbie McDonald. In 2007, Hawk Hollow Ranch acted as the host venue for the ESDCTA Symposium for Judges, Trainers, and Competitors which featured Steffen Peters and Janet Brown Foy.
Hawk Hollow Ranch holds both schooling and USDF/USEF recognized dressage shows.
Additionally, Hawk Hollow Ranch is host to the popular Evening of Freestyle series. Each year, equestrian and non-equestrian audiences come to Hawk Hollow Ranch to see one night of dressage performances by top regional and international riders in competition, set to music and the landscape of tree canopies on a summer evening. A team of hospitality management professionals work to ensure that this event continues to draw praise from both competitors and spectators as one of the most enjoyable and entertaining shows of the Region 1 show season. Bring your own picnic!

Sara Schmitt and Whirlpool
TRAINER
Hawk Hollow Ranch is home to resident trainer Sara Schmitt, international competitor, trainer, rider and "S" judge. Sara is recognized for her professionalism in the sport, long list of accomplishments, and her proven ability to bring both horses and riders up the levels in dressage and driving.
Sara is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist and has won numerous regional and national awards. For over 25 years, Sara has trained horses and riders from the early stages through the FEI levels, many of them becoming competitive on the regional and national level.
